February's Featured Artist, Eric Hagemann

Eric Hagemann has always been captivated by photography. He is passionate about the ability to freeze time, arrange scenes, and manipulate light to realize a creative vision. When photographing a scene, he envisions its final presentation; image capture and post-processing serve as the means of bringing his imagination to life. He hopes these resulting images will resonate with and inspire others.

After a 36-year career in public-sector engineering and organizational strategy, Eric now devotes himself full-time to uncovering dynamic and thought-provoking images in the western United States—from the rugged mountains and plains of Colorado to the arid deserts of Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Colorado Luminance is a celebration of the scenic beauty of Colorado through the lens of black and white photography.

The series spans Easter Plains, traverses the vibrant Denver Metropolitan area, and ascends the high-altitude realm of the Rocky Mountains, capturing Colorado’s diverse and captivating landscapes.
